Video game players = couch potatoes

I think NOT. Yes, Alec is walking and playing a motorcross game.

And the whole multitasking thing, these kids of mine have taken it to a whole new level. Abbi will be talking with a couple of people on aim, working on myspace and roleplaying on World of Warcraft. Amazing...

yeah, they really won't do anything if I don't force them... hee hee

And if this ain't the cutest pic ever, the queen writer. I say queen because yes, she is an amazing writer and writes all the time, but also because after her name, queen was the next word that she learned to write. So at age 4, on her pre-school papers (yes, before unschooling had made its entrance into our world) on the name space is "Queen Abbi"

Love it.

I think the first photo is called multi-tasking and the second photo is called darling.

Now, that photo of Alec looks like my Owen. He doesn't have the treadmill, but he paces -- energetically -- while he is playing, or online, or thinking.

No "childhood obesity epidemic" here. Could it be because they're not sitting in classrooms at desks all day?

The Queen of All She Surveys is lovely. (My writer loves WOW, too. I guess it's like being IN one of their stories?)

The best purchase we ever made was a mini-trampoline, which resides in our living room.

Brady now comes home from school about to explode because he has to be still and calm and quiet all day. There is spontaneous screaming, bouncing, and strange noises that erupt from him in the car - he isn't even angry, just honestly needing to explode all the pent-up energy. Jonathan called it yesterday when he said, "Wonder what we'll get today, the tired, quiet Brady or the crazy Brady?"

It's always amazing to see what our wonderful unschooling kids will do. By this I mean the whole group of them throughout the USA. Carly is recently back to drawing/painting. And Nick, the exercise capabilities with the Wii.
