Happy Easter!

Since Easter around here doesn't look like this...

It looks more like this...

We hold our Easter egg hunt inside.

Kyra was afraid the Easter bunny might freeze his furry feet hiding eggs outside so she wrote him a note. She told him to please stay warm and hide them inside.

He did and he wrote this back.

2 out of 3 kids wanted to hunt for eggs in the morn. The third was happy for a few to be left for him. He'll hunt in a few hours.

Pretty exciting times when Patrick lays an egg.

Even Saddi couldn't contain her excitement!

And they're OFF!

I think the Easter bunny likes books. He hid lots amongst them.

Checking out the spoils!

Happy Easter wishes to all!

Happy Easter ( late since I spent the day egg hunting on Roblox.com with MD)!!!
Can spring arrive already??!!! Even poor old Brian ( born and raised in MN ) is tired of snow and cold this year....

Even here in NC, we've always done the inside egg hunt. Except one year, I decided it was beautiful and warm, and the eggs would be outside. They were only out there a short time, but every single egg ended up with a teeny snail either on it or in it! (How did that tiny think break the shell?) So it's been inside ever since. Maybe if we just used the plastic ones...

Who knew?! there were so many *snails* in our yard? I never did!

Hey Kelli -- The egg hunt looks like fun! So happy. :) Our friends have an inside egg hunt where they hide all of the eggs at ground level in the living room, blindfold the kids and then, they're off -- crawling and wriggling to find the most eggs. By feel -- blocking, holding, tackling their siblings/opponents. A contact sport.
