We found one!
It's not exactly what I want to be in for the long term but there's a bedroom for every kid and rooms for Tim to work in and for the piano. Those were things that we were having a hard time finding. We have an unfinished basement so Tim can be the tool man again and a big yard with sun to grow things. Yep, we want some fruit trees.
We got a great deal on it so we're excited about that too.
And another plus, we're only about 4 minutes to the Stonebrakers, Yay!
Now we're heading back to Minnesota to clean, pack and say our good-byes.

I'm so happy for y'all. I know what you went through so it is so great to see y'all get some peace. And you're sooooo close!!! Yay!!
We're looking forward to a lot more of the fun we had this week.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy that you found one. :)
Congratulations!
Y'all are gonna enjoy being Southerners!
yay! Also Kelli, you do know that this was an unusual heat wave for this early in the summer, right? We had Jesse's birthday yesterday and is has never been even uncomfortable by now other years. so, maybe it will cool off for you move?!
I can't wait to see you. When are you going to be settled (or just here, as you wish) so we (or Mindy :) can all plan a party!
Thanks for the Congratulations everyone :) We have a tentative date to close on July 8th.. eek, one month from yesterday! And good news on the Bemidji house too, the original buyers might have found a buyer, so they can have the house they wanted also:) Very cool! It all works out doesn't it?
-=- Very cool! It all works out doesn't it?-=-
No, but those moments when it seems it does are so expansive they spread sunshine on the scary, frustrating "what the heck!?" moments that came before.
It won't work in Georgia, I'm afraid, but in New Mexico when people walk somewhere, like down the road, on a very hot day, they learn to move from shade to shade, even if it means crossing the road. So you walk fast through the sunshine that's dehydrating the life out of you, and then more slowly through the shade that's restoring you. And tree shade is much cooler than building or wall shade. People don't talk about it much, they just do it.
And I think the "it all works out" feelings are like that.
What's your house number? (Just the number, if you don't want to say your whole address.) I like house numbers.
Can you see kudzu from your house?
Do you have a screen porch or any kind of big porch?
When was your house built (new or old?)
How exciting! I love house hunting, the possibilities can be very exciting (ok, and scary). This will be a busy month for you!
Awesome Kelli! Change and adventure- all so exciting!
Yuppi!!!!!! Stop here on the way down if you can to say goodbuy!!!!!
Yay! That's so exciting for you all! Or for y'all, I should say. :)
congratulations.
Welcome to the South, lovely family!
*I* believe it all works out. ;)
Our new house number is 8420 Sandra. Which is interesting because our house number in MN is 8423. I feel as though that's both cool and not so cool. Being that we wanted a change, but it might not be as much of a change as we wanted. That's OK though, we're happy with the now. And it's a dang comfy house, so that counts for something *g*
We have a small deck but no porch, that'll change quick, Tim says he must have a bigger deck/porch. :)
Oh, and I don't think I can see any kudzu right from the house, which I'm glad because I have this HUGE oak in the back and I don't want it strangled!
And it's a newer house, built 2005.
...and if you do see kudzu, kill it quick!!!! Well, that is if you still want to be able to see your house by the end of the summer. :-)
Congratulations indeed!
But I'm pouting a little. Wanted you guys out here so bad. :-(
See you in September, though, right!
I know Ronnie, I miss you guys so.
And yes, we will see you in September! :)
Congratulations! Hope the move is smooooooth, and that your feeling at home in your new house very soon.
I like 8420 fine. I'll be glad when there are photos. I'm glad Holly and I got to visit you in your Minnesota house. Thank you again for that. It was nice to picture you where your computer was, where Rock Band was, where the door and the kitchen and all were.
Now you'll be mysterious again. I'm looking forward to photos!
